In today’s world, churches and other charities are facing a critical need for increased gifts and funding and at the same time, budget and staff cuts many times make this need ever more challenging.  Another factor to consider is the lack of time many fundraisers face; many are wearing “several hats” now and adding more hours to the schedule is not a practical option. We understand your challenges and would like to help.

OUR GOAL is to help you find ways to implement a system that will help you to affordably and cost-effectively maximize the results of your major planned gift fundraising efforts.  During challenging times like these, when your budget and time are at a premium, we are ready to help you build upon your foundation of success by getting back to the basics--providing you with a system that works.

OUR SYSTEM concentrates on what we call the “3 P’s”—Prospects, Personal Meetings and Planned Gifts.  Lead generation is key to our approach. We show you how to create a system that produces and ongoing source of new prospects and how to turn them into face-to-face meetings and major planned gifts.

A UNIQUE APPROACH which can make a big difference.  Today, training many times focuses almost entirely on what to do. We have found that many times it’s not only important to know what to do or what works but also to know what NOT to do or what has been found NOT TO WORK.  We bring over 25 years experience to the table, having learned many of these lessons first hand and can offer helpful tips to help you avoid many of the pitfalls in the field of major planned giving.

SPECIFIC AREAS OF TRAINING includes both workshops and general presentations.

  • Staff training including volunteers. How to develop and implement a leads generation program using the Gateway Legacy campaign. Includes the Gateway wills campaign. No legal or financial background prerequisite.
  • Gateway campaigns. Let us help you facilitate your wills campaign and other major planned gifts campaigns.
  • Planned Giving Program Assessment. A full-day program with your staff, exploring your program’s status today and your goals. We take a look at your overall marketing program. This is an interactive session and we will provide you with a detailed written report, including suggestions for enhancing your program. You will receive the report within 10-14 days of our visit.
